I bet he's related to this guy:

'Eleven-year-old "Accidentally" Downloads $1000 App' more like, the kid blatantly knew what he was doing, you can't accidentally buy something, he clicked 'buy', what was he expecting to happen...
I know. It's pretty difficult to accidentally buy something from the App Store.

Hey, Bluetooth MM can operate on 1 or 2 AA batteries.
Does this mean we will get a longer battery live than the previous one?

I held one earlier today and it felt .0001 oz. heavier. Perhaps it is just my super human ability to weigh things instantly that told me this....but still....
Don't worry, Safari is .0078 nanoseconds snappier on it! ;)

Just ruined my freakin day. I was really hoping it would be an added benefit instead of a paid feature.
Well that definitely counts me out as a potential user. (Yes i'm cheap)
Entitlement? No offense as many feel the same way. I just don't understand how some can realistically expect such a product/service to be free for how new it is.

I'm going to try to go to Brea around 8:30. You think that is early enough?
Find out what time the Brea mall opens, and be there when they unlock the doors. I was there at 10am Monday to pick up a smart cover for my iPad 2, and the line of hopefuls was about 250 people long.

Finally!
I was going to spring for the refurb i5 at $1449 but then I saw the late 2009 i7 for $1369 and was wondering which model I should go for.
I'm honestly leaning towards the i7 and have a lot of faith in apple refurb products.

It doesn't really matter at this point. Black or white, it's the iPhone. It'll still sell out.

Surprising how heated the debate on this can get - I think it's a great story.
Boy makes mistake (as does mother, in not supervising him closely enough). The mother asks for help from Apple, and Apple complies even though they don't have to. The boy, and his mother are very unlikely to make the same mistake again - and the same holds for any parent reading this story! :p
Sounds like a win - win - win - win scenario to me!
Yes, but you are you missing the fact that this is an ideal opportunity for the armchair libertarians to wail about how intrusive the government is.

FireFox already lets you drag tabs around-why not Safari?
And with phishing-a phishing filterl, like in IE7 would be good to have for .Mac users in Safari.
Mail already has a phishing filter you will see a pop-up that shows you the actual URL that you will be taken to.

I've been an AAPL shareholder on and off since 1982. The company has NEVER been healthier or hotter than it is now. We all know about the record sales of Macs, iPods, iPhones, etc. I was at a major shopping center on weekday afternoon a few days ago, and the Apple Store was literally the only store in the mall that could have been classified as "busy" (and not just with lookers but with buyers).
Yes, with things so good at the moment one has to wonder where the room for improvement is? Markets are forward looking and it would seem the markets don't see much room for improvement right now.
I would agree, Apple is on a crest...and the only way is down.

I wonder what's next? Maybe the reincarnation of Clippy's Spirit? Maybe an animated pigeon pops up when you start the upcoming Email application and asking, if you want to send an email today?

Why on earth would this happen? Why would they edit it to include the ix.Mac.MarketingName? I don't understand. Is there any logical explanation? I don't think it is a typo because I don't think Apple is stupid enough to edit it just in order to put a typo in. Weird.
Software has bugs, Apple is no exception. It's most likely a key that should resolve to a value (e.g. maybe the marketing description "iPhone" really comes from a key-value pair labeled "ix.MobileDevice.MarketingName") and due to a bug it's showing the key instead of the value.
Speculating on what the product is makes sense, it's more likely than not that it refers to something. But speculation like "Why on earth would this happen?" "I don't think Apple is stupid enough to" is just headless-chickenry... bugs are bugs, don't read into them.

If it did come out end of April. People will still buy it. Some people simply just don't know about Apple release cycles and will see it and jump to it if their contract is up.
Wow, really? So he's got a White iPhone 4? Did you see it?

Good time to buy. $$ :D
Amen. It's such an increase from just three years ago when it was around $23 a share. Buying low now takes a lot more money.

That would be a sexy phone indeed. The current design/shape is rather uninspired compared to the stuff before. Metal, rounded edges, asymmetrical: win. The teardrop angles it a little on a table. Tre nice.

So, where is AAPL going from here? Hard to say... I'm currently "long" on AAPL, so obviously I'd like to see it go up. However, it's quite possible that it could go lower from here -- perhaps much lower (below $100 even). One of the most common valuation statistic for stocks is the price/earnings (P/E) ratio. Right now, AAPL's P/E is around 30. Compared to competitors like Hewlett-Packard (HPQ; p/e: 16) and Microsoft (MSFT; p/e: 21), AAPL's multiple is high. Over the last few years, AAPL's higher P/E has been justified because earnings have been growing much faster than the earnings of its competitors. And if earnings continue to grow robustly this year, the current high P/E will have been justified. However, if earnings stall, you could see the stock price fall rapidly.
You can't tell much about where a company is going by looking at P/E, as by definition, this is a backwards-looking statistic. All of the companies you mention are growing far more slowly than Apple, which is why their trailing P/E ratios are lower. This is sort of what you said, but it's worth clarifying that you can't necessarily compare P/E ratios between companies with vastly different growth rates.
