Hello All
Just want to know my options here and here is my scenario:
I am on H1-B and my 6 years of H1B is going to complete on Sep so I have almost 1 more year to complete my 6 years of h1-B
Right now, I have my LC and I-140 approved from my present employer.
Now, I am thinking about moving onto a new job where the new employer is ready to start my GC immediately I take the new job.
My question is:
If I take the new job, would I get my new H-1B for 3 years since my I-140 with old employer/current employer is already approved ?
I do have the copy of my I-140

Can I count part time experience obtained before my Bachelors degree for an EB2 petition?
I have 2.5 years of part time experience, can we use this and apply with MBA+1 requirements?

Fancy meeting you here, dohko! The experience at half time can be counted to be 1/2 time itself - i.e. 2 years under 20 hrs./week = 1 yr. full time.
Your experience however has to be obtained AFTER your Bachelor's degree.

I am on H4 visa, based in Georgia. Did anyone get �Change of Maiden Name to Married Name� done on passport from Indian Consulate Houston, TX.
Can anyone tell me what am I supposed to write in the �Surname� column in the new online application form ? The old application had 2 columns, 1 for maiden name and the other for Desired Name, but the new online application form has only 1 Surname column. I am confused as to what should I write � my maiden name or my married name. I do have the notarization done on the affidavit form. Does this give me the right to write my married name ? Which name should I sign in the application- maiden or married name?

Any advantage of opening an account on USCIS website to receive automatic case status updates? or I don't need to do that if I keep checking the status online by myself?
They send you and email if something changes, nice if you have a Blackberry/pda
If you have multiple cases i-129, i-131, i-140, i-485 you can see them all on one page, I find that easier to see LUDs in particular the "soft" non-action ones, but it's nice to know the file was touched.

I have one white I 94 which you get at the port of last entry and three H1 I 94 (one original H1 I 94, two extention I 94s). The latest I 94 goes till 2010. Should I surrender all four I 94s or just the expired ones or just the white one.

Have anybody feeling the big difference between Texas and Nebraska service center processing? Texas is giving greencards and June filers most of them have got EAD and Advanced Paroles. Is immigrationvoice doing anything to escalate the situation.

Hello All,
I just looked thru couple pages on this forum to see if there is already a thread on this question but didn't quite get to see it.
I got into the I-485 queue during July-07 VB fiasco. My applications reached USCIS before the Aug-07 fee revision, so I paid fees according to the old schedule.
However, I did apply for extension last year in March-2009 and paid the new fee ($305), got the documents and even travelled last year and came back into US using the AP.
Now it's time for renewal again, and I'm wondering if I'll have to pay the fee perennially annually?

P.S: In the I-131 instructions, on page 8, there is a note regarding fee which talks about no fee if I-485 was filed after July 31, 2007. Mine was filed after July 31st, but with the old fee structure.

Also I had a question about the employment.
When one graduates from University is he/she eligible to still work for the University while waiting for the OPT?
i.e. graduation date (dec 22) - opt start date (january 17th)

i have it on Nikon mount, and one of the samples i tested had a back focus issue. i just bought the one that didnt. Sigma is real good at fixing/replacing defective lenses
I have to agree with that, I did send it back to Sigma and 3 weeks later it was fixed and now I seem to have focussing issues with my A700 and a couple lenses that seem to work fine on my A300 but this Sigma works really well on the A700 and A300.
