I have a question.
How do I contact my senator ?

Applying PERM & H1 are diffrent. GC process is future employment so Any employer can sponser your PERM without joining him (But you have to join that employer if GC-485 get approved by him).
In My case, my earlier employer filed GC in 2004 but I140 got denied so I restarted whole GC process again.

The IO will not issue an I-94 with the expiry date same as the new approval notice end date. You will be given an I-94 with the expiry date same as the visa expiry date on the passport. If you are using AP to enter, you will be given an expiry date of 1-year from the date of entry.
My wife travelled in July 2007 on H4 when my H1B was expiring on 09/30/2007. She showed the approval notice that was valid till 09/30/2010 and was still given the I-94 valid till 09/30/2007.
Should not be an issue. Dont forget to give the approval notice to the IO. Otherwise you will be given only till Aug 2009.

i have question regarding my AP. My AP is valid Aug'09. I am going to apply for new AP soon. I am planning to go India in July. My question is Would it be ok if my new AP gets approved while i am in India? I will be using my old AP for travel. but do i need to be present in US when approval of new AP takes place. please advice

I have been to Infopass at least four times in last two years. It depends on service rep on the window. Some of them are very cooperative and will try to answer most of your questions but others may not answer anything. I has an appointment yesterday to figure out about Background check which has been pending for last six months. Service rep on window only told me that it is still pending, she won't say when was it ordered which part of it is pending.. I tried to impress upon her but, she got up and walk away. It was such a waste of my time...
It is pure luck.. Couple of times, I got a rep who had helped me with AP stuff...

Its almost common knowledge that most of L1s are given to rank and file employees. Out of all the L1 people that I know, there's not even one that can be said to possess specialized knowledge. I'm sure there are a few legitimate L1 cases.

Trying something comparable to double processing, but without the original, I selected the sky, copied the layer, and changed the blend mode to multiply. I then inverted the selection, copied the original layer again, and changed that mode to screen. That made the sky colors richer and the mountains lighter. (didn't post, as my selection was quick and dirty, not at all precise) The beauty of doing it as dual raw conversion rather than this way is there is no destruction of pixels in the process.

1. To be fair to all, Ask all h1b's to gain 2 - 3 years of US experience, before filing for GC. (2 years of Paystub at the minumum and or tax returns).
What sort of "fairness" do you hope to achieve by delaying new GC applicants ? Given the current pace of visa number availability, it is going to be 2015 or so before a 2006 PD for EB-3 becomes current and USCIS gets to it. Does that not already take care of "fairness" with respect to older applicants ?
For a new GC applicant who is looking at another 8-9 years wait to file 485 (I am one of them and there are plenty on this forum) it is more important than ever to lock a PD asap. Even assuming it is in larger interest of all of us, how will you educate an average lawmaker of all these intricacies ? We are having a tough time as it is distinguishing ourselves from the illegals.

You can change jobs. Make sure you (or your attorney) send the AC21 letter to USCIS before your employer revokes the approved I-140. If you do that, the revokation won't have much effect, otherwise you may get NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny).

We went to Tijuana in 2003 from SanDiego. We just walked across the Border. But we stayed for only a couple of hours. Only while crossing into the US,people at the US checkpoint checked our Visa stamps and after scanning our passports allowed us to enter.

While on EAD-AC21 do you know if they compare the salary mentioned on offer letter or the acual W2 amount or is it both to check if it is close to what is mentioned on LC?
Because the salary on offer letter could be like $15K-$20K/$20K-$30K more than what is mentioned on LC but
If the W2 reflects not so much difference(like you go on unpaid vacations if possible) then will this be OK?
Appreciate your advice on this

a link that says 485 filing needs tax returns.
please see the official instructions with the 485 form and note what is actually asked for- it's not much- and no W2 or tax returns are mentioned.

I know EB5 is to invest $500,000 to get a green card.
How about to invest $500,000 buying a house in US and get a green card? Say 100,000 green card for that, that would help the current US economy a lot.
I thought that that $500,000 (actually $1M unless the investment is in underprivileged areas) has to be personal funds, not loans. I do not think that there are many with personal funds close to that. Most people buy home with loans.

My Company charged 2 of colleagues for their Spouses application fees, but covered their legal fees couple of years back. But they covered everything for me and my wife this year June. It varies company by company and trust and between the Employee and Employer and value of the Employee.
